About Dr. Rudolph

Dr. Ted Rudolph is a highly accomplished, board-certified dermatologist and MOHS surgeon with over 25 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. As the Medical Director and founder of Sunnycoast Dermatology in Vero Beach, Florida, Dr. Rudolph has been serving the Treasure Coast community since 2000.

Education & Training

Dr. Rudolph earned his Medical Degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, where he graduated with Clinical Honors and received the prestigious Robert W. Goltz Award for Excellence in Dermatology. He completed his undergraduate education at Regis College/University, graduating Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology and receiving both the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society Award (the highest honor a Jesuit institution can bestow) and The Class of 1929 Biology Award.

Following medical school, Dr. Rudolph completed his dermatology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in MOHS Surgery through the American Society for MOHS Surgery (ASMS), being one of the first in the United States to achieve board certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery in 2021.

Clinical Expertise

Dr. Rudolph specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin conditions, with particular expertise in:

  • MOHS Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer removal with the highest cure rates
  • Medical Dermatology including treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, and complex skin conditions
  • Surgical Dermatology for removal of benign and malignant lesions
  • Non-Surgical Treatment with various minimally invasive methods of treatment
  • Cosmetic Dermatology including Botox and chemical peels
  • Phototherapy using narrowband UVB for various skin conditions

Research & Academic Contributions

Throughout his career, Dr. Rudolph has been actively involved in dermatological research and education. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, including studies on melanoma, nickel allergy in atopic dermatitis, and innovative treatments for skin conditions. His research experience spans from basic science investigations in neuropsychology to clinical dermatology research.

Dr. Rudolph has presented his work at major dermatology conferences including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for MOHS Surgery, and various regional dermatology symposiums. He maintains active memberships in:
